BUMFIGHT DAY

WOW is all i can say. I came back from my 11 to noon class today and saw a sketchy looking character posted outside of my apartment near my roommate's bike which was locked up to the no parking sign.

Now keep in mind this is the peak of the day, in broad daylight.

I get inside and open up the windows and blinds to my room, look down, and see the crackhead doing the same thing. He is pacing back and forth on the sidewalk RIGHT in front of my apartment and since my room faces the street, i have a clear view of not fifteen feet away my roommate's bicycle. About 5 minutes go by and i look out the window and see the guy fiddling with the bike which was now on the ground, but still chained to the pole. I then run out my door, down the stairs, and give him a big running high five on the face with my knuckles. This stuns him and puts him in a daze but he's still able to grab his plastic bag of what i can imagine is a collection of stolen things. He tries to run away but i give him a little shove on his back which sends him down again.

After this mess, i go to grab my bike which is upstairs in my room, but by the time i hit the street and circle the block to find him, he was nowhere to be found.  odds are, he is walking around the city with a huge imprint of my ring on his face.

On a lighter note, I was able to finish this full size flash sheet yesterday. Now i just have to find a 14"x17" frame to paint and fit it.

knights of the golden gate park

Started the day off seeing this on my way to lunch with my friend Sean, amazing.
Also was able to play with Sean and Jaime's little chippy "Early". I love this dog.

After lunch I headed to Blick art supply with sean and was able to pick up some paper. Double fail though: extremely long line and my 40% off coupon was expired.

Dropped off Sean and found something amazing. I was passing by Golden Gate Park and had to stop and document this, because i know no one would believe me.

saturday night cabin fever

I rode my bike down to north ocean beach which is about 5 blocks away from my house. As soon as i stepped out i could smell the bonfires so i grabbed my camera and headed down.

Tattoo Time

My friend Ryan came over today to get tattoo of his own design, as he designs most all of his tattoos in a certain style made up solely of lines, and no shading. He ended up getting two tattoos today, and both were a lot of fun to do. Hell, tattooing anything is a lot of fun.. take a peep at it.

YA DINGUS!

SEND US YOUR BONES!

Yesterday i started a few drawings while watching a movie, which turned into another mini flash sheet. i finished today at the crack of noon as soon as i woke up, and i'm pretty happy how it turned out. I've been able to crank out tons of drawings this week, but i've hit a roadblock. I ran out of bristol paper, and since my bank account reads $2.46 and my wallet is holding a good solid $7, i'm kind of out of luck. No problem, i'll just keep drawing in my head until i can scrounge up a few more bucks to support my art addiction. That time could be today, because i'm tattooing a fellow artist friend Ryan, who happens to have the supplest of babyskin which is very fun to tattoo. So if everything works out then i'll be able to get a few bones today.

SEND US YOUR BONES DUMMY!

low key friday knight

Tonight was a pretty good night, i was able to kick it with my buddy eddie, a fellow arteest. fun time playing wii sports at his pad and watching chappelle show. i was finally able to see this episode of chappelle show that for some reason had been stuck in my mind for the longest time. if you get a chance check out the turf wars history channel episode of season 1 chappelle show, "they poured morton salt on me"!

last night i had too much to drink going out with the beloved Wilson crew posse, so i told myself that i was gonna take it easy tonight. apparently taking it easy for me means splitting a 12 pack of tecate with eddie and catching the 5 fulton bus back to my place at 2 am. Still an awesome time, but i know my body is quietly seeking revenge on me. The calm before the storm.

OUT.

WAIT! not out just yet. i forgot, on the way from the liquor store on Divis and McAllister, i saw the coolest thing ever. This elderly gent had put tennis balls in his wheel spokes. i stopped him for a second then snapped a few pictures on my phone so i would remember.

REALLY OUT.

bubbleguts

I've been watching a ton of movies on netflix instant lately and this is the latest, a badass spaghetti western directed by Sergio Corbucci. You can really see the influence Corbucci had on Tarantino in this film and another really awesome film called Django, about a coffin-dragging badass.

i drank too much again last night.

blood in blood out

I recently finished a couple of framed small flash sheets that i'm pretty excited about, and they came out a lot cooler than i expected. I want to cover your skin.

I have created life

This is my first blog. I think have created this more for myself than for you, because from now on i will  be using this to talk to myself. hopefully this will help me keep my mind together... or humor you.
